Quality is the ability to satisfy expressed or implicit requirements, through a product or a service: this is the definition that was the starting point for the current ISO 9001 standards. A Quality System implies continual company process improvement, in order to obtain products that always satisfy client needs.
In creating its Quality System, Florim has used the following reference points:

Respecting current legislation and specific standards for the ceramics sector, paying particular attention to the problems that relate to safety and the environment
- Reducing waste and minimizing costs

An orientation for the client as the fundamental company resource, evaluating the client’s degree of satisfaction and determining the needs that should be met

The effectiveness of the Quality System is measured and controlled through periodical inspections and reviews by Company Management. When inadequacies or inefficiencies are highlighted, the System is revisited and corrected
- Involvement and definition of responsibilities
The definition of responsibilities and involvement of every level of the organization, in order to increase effectiveness and efficiency of company processes.
- Training and improved professionalism
The development of training activities aimed at improving the professionalism of the individual company functions.
SYSTEM CERTIFICATION - UNI EN ISO 9001: 2000
Florim Ceramiche was the first company in this sector to obtain the UNI EN ISO 9001 certification: 2000 (know as VISION 2000) for the engineering, production and sales of ceramic tiles of from types of productions.
The certifying agency is the Technischer Überwachungs-Verein (TÜV), chosen based on their strictness and their recognition at the international level. This is an independent certification and inspection agency that has been present in Italy since 1987 and is part of the TÜV SÜD group, founded in 1866 based on the will of some Bavarian business men and technicians.
Throughout the years this structure has grown and the internationalization of business contributed to a strong growth of their activities abroad and the development of offices in more than 60 countries throughout the world.

 SYSTEM CERTIFICATION – UNI EN ISO 14001 E BS OHSAS 18001

Florim Ceramiche has obtained the prestigious UNI EN ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 certifications from the TÜV, certifying the company’s constant commitment to environmental conservation and to the health and safety of its workers.
Voluntary ISO 14001 certification testifies that the company complies with a set of procedures encoded at an International level, aimed at improving the internal environmental management system.
OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series) is an international benchmark for certifying a management system oriented towards health and safety in the workplace. Florim is the first Italian ceramics company to obtain this important award, which confirms its constant commitment to its workers.
These certifications have been achieved because the firm strives to reconcile quality with efficiency and productivity, while respecting the environment, the social fabric in which the company operates and the health and safety of the workers.
Florim is convinced that this is the best road to follow in order to manage the current market situation more efficiently and face up to the future in a perspective of sustainable development.
