Piazza Fontana in Milano is a completely new city square with an arcade, a tree-lined pedestrian area and, of course, the fountain by Piermarini. One of the new features there is a five-storey building (the same height as the Archbishop’s palace and the Palazzo del Capitano) at the corner with Via Pattari, on the north side of the square, which was once occupied by the Commercio hotel: this is the new addition to the StarHotels chain – the Hotel Rosa.
StarHotels was set up in 1980 and has made its mark on the international tourist scene thanks to its hospitality, encompassing creativity and culture, tradition and attention to detail, and a search for harmony and well-being: in a word, the fusion of all those elements that have made Italian-produced goods unique and extraordinary.
